Sherbourne Abbey
I have visited Sherborne many times over the years and the Abbey stands at one end of the town in its own grounds. It full name is the Abbey Church of St. Mary the Virgin. It has been a Saxon cathedral, a Benedictine abbey church and since 1539 the local parish church.
